Hey. maybe everytime you but a monetary value to music it actually devalues it. The whole point of art is colaboration. Art is has no value unless someone is there to say yes. …why should we pay for music??? It has nothing to do with collecting food or providing shelter. Music is something that happens without any kind of system. It is as natural as a kiss.
We can’t divorce ourselves from the books we’ve read, from the music we’ve heard, from the experiences in our lives. Everything we are and every influence from our time/culture is embedded INTO anything we create–a song, a poem, a play. New creations in any field are “variations on a theme,” but that does not make them any less vital.
